Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] Anything

The thing that I noticed with the kitkat rom was that you can call someone, But they can't call you back. IDK if anyone else has this Problem?

[There's "wladmcd, post: 7022303, member: 1865986"]Here the camera only works the front, anyone can say why not back?[/QUOTE]
From just what I've observed, there's an issue whenever the back LED is used, causing any app that calls upon it to be unable to connect to the camera until rebooted.

It's an issue with all the non stock based ROMs.

Did anyone ever upload a reliable driver for the LS720 V8? I've been all over the forums trying to figure out how to root this phone (my first attempt). Tried motochopper, failed three times. Now I've factory reset in preparation to try the few free/still available root programs I could find (saferoot, stump, towelroot), but I doubt any of them will work if I can't get the driver to work.

U don't need drivers for stump just put it on ur ext SD card runn it

Okay looks like Stump successfully rooted the phone (used RootChecker on the second boot), but now every time ROM Manager or SuperSU reboots my phone, it appears to factory reset and I have re-download all of those apps (stump is gone from the sd card too). I saw this problem being mentioned in some of the other related threads. Mobile Data has stopped working too. I intentionally factory reset one last time, to see if it would go back to the way it was, but nothing. :-/ It's alright, I went into this knowing I'd be breaking my warranties.

This time I'm going to try running Stump from my ext SD. I intentionally ran Stump from my internal SD at first because it seemed to make more sense at the time.

Thanks. Originally tried to reboot into recovery using ROM manager, but guess that wasn't the right thing. Gonna rootcheck one more time, keep reading, then ask exclusive36.

EDIT: As of now, rootcheck says I'm rooted, even after a factory reset. Which I'm fine with, I originally ran Stump from the internal SD instead of ext (as roadkill suggested) because it seemed right at the time. Apps and everything are stable, just my mobile data doesn't seem to work at the moment. Gonna see if "Activate my Phone" number works (the data transfer icon briefly appears when I enter that screen) but I won't expect Virgin to do much for me. Still gotta figure out this CWM/TWRP stuff (read in the V8 update/unbrick guide that CWM will softbrick upon update, but TWRP won't??), but I'll go on a bike ride first and come back to it. Again, thanks roadkill.

Damn, you weren't kidding. "Backup current Rom" in Rom manager is what did it. Weird. Glad I had just done a Titanium Backup.
