I found out in my area when 3g hangs all i have to do is switch the radio to evdo only and it runs better, am i the only one running this hack

1. Is this something from the LG hidden menu? That would mean using a dialer code, which I can't as I am on stock V6.

2. Does EVDO mode allow 4G to work? Or is that only for 3G?

EVDO is a 3G standard (or format), it's not used in place of 3G, or at all in 4G. If EVDO works, 3G isn't hanging, something else is. The phone does LTE, so it's probably LTE that's having a problem, and the phone isn't automatically downshifting to 3G.
