Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] F6 roms install but don't pass boot

The lock screen is slightly different, the settings screen is slightly different with more options. It offers wifi calling, The qslide can be disabled, It also has a 'power saver option'. The sounds are also different.

so is there a way to get a kitkat rom for the LG F3 with these custom roms the devs of the F6 made
or can we make these F6 kitkat roms work on the F3

I don't know if this is relevant but I tried installing this rom
[WIP][ROM] Flashable Rooted 12B Stock Rom

and it work cuz I hear the notification sound mines does every time I install a rom, but the problem was I couldn't see it
I only saw white and black lines at the bottom I could see a bit of the screen

so can anyone fix this so the display will work thanks

best rom from personal experience if you want to try to get a rom to work for kitkat would be dms carbonrom

i just moved to the htc one sv for boost now working on getting that revived but i tested alot on the f6 to tell you thats the most stable your going to get.as far as 4.1.2 goes though gametheories xperion with the added kernal and stuff works well.then again i would ask for permission.i dont know how kind they would take to you making a port of their work without their ok.gametheory might be kind to make a working xperion himself though since he has made roms for the f3 before.dana i could never get to boot ever on the f6.the fact you got it working on the f3 is awesome.never got to try it

I'm bored so I'm flashing the f6 firmware on the f3 to see if it works and if it does I'm hoping that this could lead to android 4.4

He's saying that we should build a carbonrom. You can't do that without a working device tree which i'm working on

Can we flash a virgin kernel after we install it
if so which on would you recommend
Sounds like a boot IMG may not be correct which ROM are you flashing if its not the same device ROM it will fail. What I am saying is if its a international ROM and your device isn't it would fail. In your case do you have d321 to match d321 a d320 and d321 wont work and will fail when flashed or even brick

I haven't tried but it should work. We can flash both our kernel and their kernel. I tested the freedom kernel with as7 installed. It booted with out issue.

Keep in mind that if you do, the only way you will be able to get into recovery with out wiping the data partition is by issuing a 'reboot recovery' command in a terminal app or with a app that allows you to reboot into recovery, or with a 'adb reboot recovery' using your pc with usb debugging enabled. Otherwise it takes you to a factory reset screen if you use the button combo. After the factory reset it will take you into recovery.

I don't think it would matter which one of our boot images you would use. Keep in mind that it's a metro pcs rom and not a virgin mobile rom. It would need to be modified to get phone, and 3g to work. The same outcome would result as in the f6 rom. sms/text would still not work.

However bluetooth does work in it.
