Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] [MOD][APP] SDCard Swapper Fx3

BTW, when I build my next kernel I could build a version that swaps the entire data partition with the external one then all of the storage nonsense will end.

you might be able to do it in your script as well if it runs early enough, and then don't install the fuse code.

problem is the recovery needs to perform the swap as well... otherwise backup and restore won't work.

That would be amazing!!! If you do that, can i include it in my ROM? And wouldnt the sdcard need to be ext4?

I think it was always just mount the second partition as the data one. it would need to be a Linux partition. it might be able to find the non fat partition ..

Well if you decide to do that, then i wish you the best of luck mate!

This thread is not for links2sd, there is however a thread on here that deals with links2sd and our phone.

Sorry you are having trouble with it!

Sorry! Id point you in the right direction but i am on my phone and cant really do a search at the moment

I love having this pre-installed on your Advanced Stock app! Makes the phone actually USEFUL. Link2SD has nothing on this. It's nice have 32 GB of actual storage. <3

Unfortunately, because of how android works, the physical apk file downloaded from the play store are stored under /data/data. So it is technically on internal storage, this mod swaps the sdcards, which only works where apps store data (like in app purchase, downloads, etc.)
i am currently working on a way to trick android into installing apps to the sdcard completely.

Yeah, somehow I ran out of space, assuming because of the apk files like you said..

That did the trick in Chrome. I've never seen that happen in IE before. Renaming the zip to apk would have fixed it?

So will this also move things like Whatsapp data storage folders? On my old phone, my whatsapp data grew too fast (crazy family sharing pictures from across the country), and would only exist on internal memory. I had to use an app I found called foldermount to trick the phone into accessing this folder on the SD card instead of internally. Is that the sort of thing this script takes care of? Or is that yet another type of storage beyond APK and App Data?

I bought a new card a 32 GB no matter what I try I get a mount doesn't exist error when the program runs. Is the card too large? Or are some brands incompatible? It's a tianhong
