Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] [MOD][LGSystemUi]Remove QSlide apps Deodexed v5, v6, & v7

Try it again, It goes down every now and then. Strange it went down 2 times in 1 week. When it does go down, just let me know and i'll fix it.
 
My phone is stock v7, rooted. When I flashed the zip I rebooted, deleted the mentioned file, and rebooted again. It still shows a black background with no status bar at the top. Ideas?

Your odex then. If you wiped your dalvik cache and removed the lgsystemui.odex file from /system/app/ folder it should work. But it doesn't work for everyone

I didn't wipe anything because the OP said not to.

"No need to wipe anything, just flash over top of your current installation."

Do I remove the lgsystemui.odex file before or after flashing the zip? And when do I wipe dalvik?

Thats because it was meant for deodexed originally. Ill need to change that.

Remove the odex file at any time. Wipe dalvik after flashing and after you remove the odex file
 
Ok. Removed the odex file, flashed the zip, then wiped dalvik. I'm still getting a black background with no status bar. Guess it just won't work for me. Thanks anyways.
 
Tried this on the stock V7, and lost my notification bar. Went to restore my backup, and must have somehow deleted my CWM backup on my external.

Downloaded the deodexed V7 rom, worked with that.(thanks very much for posting the roms, by the way.)

Issue i have with the deodexed.....the sync icon stays in the notification bar regardless if it's on or not, will not go away. Is there a way to edit this? Another thing, it was giving me the wrong system time, was like 5 hours off.

May try the odexed version. Is it completely stock? Kind of got used to the LG keyboard, deodex has a different one.

The odexed rom has the lg keyboard. The sync icon does go away. But at first it stays for awhile. Im not sure why.
 
Ok, I'm not even close to being an Android noob here...this does not work on Odexed v7 period.
Thanks for the effort though man.

I haven't tested this on v7, but other people have stated it does work. As for it not working for you, It doesn't work for everyone. Some people have luck, others do not. I'm sorry it didn't work for you. I hope you made a backup
 
Hey xclusive36, Im running the deodex V8 and am trying to get rid of the Qslide. Do you have a version that would work. Currently when i flash your V6 systemui it gives me a blank notification bar. Anyway to get around? Thanks

I haven't messed with the qslide mod in a long while. I'm pre ocupide else where. Im sorry but I don't have a solution for the v8 update.
