Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] need system update help!

already have v7 on my phone have rooted since then and don't want the system update that keeps popping up..

how do I get rid of it? I know there's a thread about it I can't find it.

There is an app on the play store that can resolve this issue for you. I cannot remember the name though

It's because v8 is being rolled out.

I'm trying to prevent v8 from getting anywhere near my phone bc I'm all rooted and link2sd'd and I don't want to undo all that or brick my phone if I accidentally accept the update instead of hit install later as I've been doing for the past 2 days

I see it's starting to come out already. I'll post a thread on it. I don't know how to disable to the notification.

I'm using the disable services app. Been a couple of hours with no notification.

Here's a couple of different ways to get rid of the update notice if you don't want to update. Both are reversible if you later change your mind.

i ended up using both methods because deleting lgfota.apk alone did not work and seemed to have caused the phone to download the notification...

i will update in a day or two as to the status post installation of fotakill.apk

I tried to update it but for some reason i cant. Its weird has anybody had that problem?
