MY brother just gave me this to try and fix. The problem Im having is that the phone only powers on while being plugged in then it goes straight to fast boot. Ive tried to flash a new boot.img and I keep getting an error. Anyone know how to fix this??

Set aside some time, and use the unbrick method:

I used this method to reflash my phone to factory spec, in the original unactivated state. You'll need to do this on a Windows PC.

Phone will not go into download mode or recovery

Some phones enter Download mode differently. Mine enters via following.
1. Phone powered off
2. Push vol up + vol down simultaneously.
3. Plug in USB cable. Do not press phone power button.

Note in case not obvious. Need PC powered on an USB cable connected to PC prior to step 3.

Hope this helps somebody.

If you can't get it to go to download mode, you will need to flash via fastboot the 'aboot.img' partition.

Grab it from the stock rom. You will need to download fastboot onto your computer to flash the aboot.img. But before you do, can you pull your current aboot and send me a copy?
