Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] Update

My wife's F3 will not update to the latest v7 update. I want to root it with towel root but when I did such with mine before the update it killed the device. I have tried forcing the update by using the option in the system menu but it is not working. Question I have for you all is if I reset the phone then will it update to the latest update?

Are you on stock v6?

Are you rooted?

Review the v6 update posting. The force OTA portion might provide guidance.

Yes i am using the stock v6 and no it is not rooted

Just accept the over the air update that pops up on the phone. It install without an issue. Just make sure the phone has good battery charge.
