Root [Virgin Mobile] Won't connect to pc

I just rooted my Samsung Galaxy 4g Lte using the twrp method and it worked fine with my computer before the root, but now my computer fails to recognize the device, claiming the "Hardware Id" is missing. "Windows cannot identify the device plugged into the SAMSUNG Mobile USB Composite Device".
How can I get my computer to recognize it?

I get this sometimes on my laptop. To get mine working I toggle storage mode on the phone to ptp, allow pc to load drivers and usually give me same error, then toggle back to mtp mode and it will usually work. Give that a try
