Root virtuous 3.2?

Is there a way to update roms without having to redo your entire layout and downloading all your apps over again? This might be a stupid question but any answer would be appreciated
 
you can load some without wiping the device. some require data wipes. I update to 3.1 from stock and didnt wipe.
 
Pull battery when at white "droid incredible" screen then boot into recovery though Hboot and restore the backup you want.

I see it its loading up now thanks. I figured out why I couldnt 3.2 wouldnt work too. I thought I had Hboot 9.2 but apparently I don't. Gotta wait till I get to a Windows PC to download it to my phone since I haven't figured out how to format with a Mac yet.
 
Just updated to 3.2 and everything went fine. When it booted up I kept getting FCs on the launcher. It would load my widgets and then FC. A simple reboot solved this and havent had any probs since. Hope this helps anybody else having this problem.

Just download it with phone and then use astro to move it from download folder to root of sd. I did it that way this morning and it worked flawlessly.

find file in download folder on sd card. Long press file>edit>move. then back out to the root of sd(first page of files when you choose sd) and in the top bar choose edit then paste, then scroll through and make sure the file is there. Reboot into hboot and let it do its magic.

I never actively downloaded Hboot 0.92 but I have it somehow.
