Help Virus?? 3d.com? grrrr

Lurker
So a day or so ago, something weird started happening. Anytime I click a link on any email, I am forwarded to the adsite 3d.com

so if I have a link in my email that says Android Forums, when I click the link, I'm sent to something like

http://www. 3d.com;http://www. androidforum.com

So I don't actually see androidforum, instead, I see 3d.com and it senses that I'm looking for android stuff, so I'm served with android related ads.

I must have installed an app that rewrote how my browser behaves, but I don't know how to undo this damage. The only app I recently installed was Photo Swapper by tg-apps, but I kinda don't think they were the ones responsible (too many people are using this app).

Does anyone know how to repair this without having to reset the phone to factory? Any help would be appreciated.

Oh...and I found an almost-similar thread here about the same site http://androidforums.com/desire-support-troubleshooting/177831-emails-twitter-direct-www-3d-com.html

Looks like they had their twitter links redirected in the same way.

hey...I wound up fixing my phone by doing a hard reset. However, my friend is now having the exact same problem. Any ideas? This is too weird.

When he clicks a link from email (in his case, hotmail), regardless of the link, it adds 3d.com - 3d Resources and Information. onto every link. So if his email has a hotlink to android forums, when he clicks it, it'll take him to 3d.com - 3d Resources and Information.

The regular, above mentioned anti-viral programs have absolutely no effect.

I'm sure someone else has had this issue?? Thanks

He might in his browser's setting "Set to default".

If 'Ad Network Detector' doesn't find an app which caused AirPush, the app might gone (uninstalled). Just it's spam setting in the browser is remaining.
