Root Visual Voicemail not Playing

In just the last week or so my visual voicemails will not play. I'm running an EVO 3D CM10 ROM (Disarmed Toaster) and get the same result in both sprint and virgin mobile VVM apps. Basically, I will receive a voicemail, be able to see that it is there in the app but when I try to play it, it will pause for a second then act like it is playing the voicemail in a matter of seconds (regardless of its actual length) without outputting any audio. Has anyone else run into this issue? Found some kind of fix? Apologies in advance is there is already a thread about this but my searches didn't turn anything up.

Well when I tried cm10 paranoid android voicemail didn't work. It might be a cm10 problem. Not exactly sure what causes it. sorry
