Help visual voicemail

ok...how can i get the annoying problem with visual voicemail to go away? I don't want it but everytime I press the cassette tape on the dial pad to go to voice mail the option pops up about the visual voicemail. I accidently pressed subscribe instead of the cancel button, now when i press the cassette tape it keeps asking me for my password. I called Verizon...they couldn't figure it out...does anyone have any ideas? this is on my droid X

I want to switch that same icon to work with google voice. I have changed it in settings, but the cassette still takes me to the verizon one. I have tried changing back to verizon, but it stays on gv.
