Help VLC Player on X10i

I have an Xperia X10i with Android 2.1
Does anyone know if the VLC Player can be installed on this phone/computer?

On further search, I found ... VLC Media Player out for Android 2.3 phones early in 2011. The latest version of VLC Media Player for mobiles will only work on Android 2.3 'Gingerbread' phones.

So I'm waiting for Gingerbread

If you are looking for an app that will play most formats including divx try Vplayer or Rockplayer. Vplayer is in beta so you can get it on appbrain. Hope this helps.
