Help VM F3 will not connect to WiFi

My Virgin Mobile Optimus f3 will not connect to WIFI. It tells me the network is available it has plenty of signal strength but WILL NOT connect. I have tried turning on and off WIFI (numerous times), turning the phone on and off, taking out the battery and forgetting and then reconnecting to the network. Nothing will get this phone to connect to the WIFI it is telling me is available. Also, I have a home network as well as XFINITY WiFi, so i should be able to connect to either and cannot connect to ANY.

Your help is GREATLY appreciated.

There is something called connections optimizer in your phone settings. this will not allow the f3 to connect to what the phone considers a "weak" signal. turning connections optimizer off will allow more flexability with connecting to wifi.

Thanks for the reply.

I should have added this to the already tried list. I made sure it was off. I can't figure why it will not connect to ANY WiFi at all. It see them but won't connect.

this just started happening to me a week ago. whenever i try to connect to a network it just says saved but wont connect. I've tried factory resetting and everything. my MAC address is set at 00:00:00:00:00:00 and wont change
