VM Intercept and Dish Network Sling Adapter = "Free" TV !

Just a quick report in case anybody was wondering if Dish Network and the Slingbox adapter ($99) works on our intercepts. The answer is a resounding "Yes"!

TV Everywhere - DISH Network

I took delivery of the adapter on Friday, plugged it into the DNetowrk DVR and instantly could watch 100+ channels of cable TV over my phone. Im on weak DSL but the picture and sound was very good. I drove into work this AM and had the local news channel playing all the way in (20 miles and 40 minutes) - worked perfectly.

I though I would report my positive results as I could not find an "it works" post, specific to our phones.

HTH...

Good to know. I planned on updating my box just for that purpose.

Thanks

It is worth it, I have had mine connected ever sense it was released at DISH. Being an employee I was able to get a heads up about the release, well worth it. It isn't going to replace the old couch and TV set but it's not trying to. The purpose is outside of the house. I actually just watched Top Gear earlier this morning at the doctor's office.

Had it a few weeks now and still love it. The best part of the setup is, unlike slingbox, there are no IR senders to setup for the channel changing. You literally plug in the device (USB) and it works!

Works fine over 3G - it will reduce video quality to match your speed - over 3G its still very nice.

FYI: Along with the program you also need the USB adapter ($99)
