Help Voice Mail Notification

I have the voice mail notification on my home screen and for some reason, when there is a voice mail, there is no number next to it to advise me there is one. I am using Widget Locker if that matters. Everything else works with that. Any advice? Thanks!

Open the Visual voicemail and listen to it so it clears the yellow "unread" line from the left side of the message. The notification icon should go away then.

Thanks Kelmar, sorry for the wrong forum. I actually figured it out. I added the VM notification on my Widget Locker when creating a slider. So, I deleted that entire slider. I then recreated the slider, no VM. I then created a WIDGET on the desktop and it worked.
