Help Voice Mail Notification?

Blue218

I all of a sudden got a verizon voice mail notification in my notification bar on my Nexus....and there is no voice mail. I have been using Google Voice for quite a while....no voice mail there either. I can not get the notification (icon) in the notification bar to go away. Any ideas? I have rebooted, battery pulled, checked both voice mails multiple times.

Happened to me with my Dinc. You have to disable Google Voice. Change your voicemail back to Verizon Wireless. Call and log in. Listen to and delete the voicemail that has likely been there forever and for some unknown mystery reason suddenly appeared to make your life miserable. Once its deleted, log out and then open Google Voice and dial the number to switch your voicemail back to Google Voice. Problem should be solved.

For what it's worth, it's pretty common but fixable.

This worked for me...
Call yourself from another phone and leave a voicemail.
Go listen to your voicemail and delete the new message.

I had this happen and this was the only way I could clear it.

This worked....I got my wife to leave me a VM ( a nice one)....logged out of google voice (*73 or *71?) checked it, erased it, and then logged back into google voice
