Root Voice Mail

I am currently on midnight's rom, version 1.2.2. My voicemail was working perfectly, it would show up in the status bar and also on the voicemail app. Since running midnight's rom. I backed this rom up, then installed CM9 devils toast. I used that for a few days but decided to go back to midnight's rom. While on CM9, I noticed that the voicemail app doesnt work, I didnt get a voicemail icon in the status bar and the notification I received was through a text message. I restored my backup of mnidnight's rom and the same issues I had with voicemail in CM9, I'm now having with midnights rom.The voicemail app doesnt work, no icon in the status bar and the only notification I get is through text message. Does anyone know how I can get back to the voicemail app working, icon in the status bar and no text messages.

Thanks for the help.

First I'd try wiping cache and dalvik cache and flashing the newest version of midnightrom. If that didn't work I'd try reinstalling Midnight after a full wipe. Or Doing a full wipe then restoring a functional backup. What you did shouldn't have borked anything. I did the EXACT same as you and mine currently works perfectly using Midnightrom.

I am on midnights current version from. I backed it up, cleared davelik and cache, did factory reset and then restored my backup, the same thing is happening, the voicemail app still not working and I'm still getting text messages about voicemail and no icon in the status bar, Anyone have any additional suggestions.

Exact same problem here. I went to a different rom and came back. No voicemail icon in the status bar. Cleared davelik, cache, and full wipe. Nothing. How do you get a text that you have voicemail? Hell, that is better than mine.

I don't know how I got the text for voicemail it just started up when came back to midnight from cm9. I don't want the texts.

He's saying flash clean. Restore no backups. Meaning boot into recovery and do a complete wipe of everything except the SD card. Then flash the ROM. See if it works after that

PS: always have a backup made in recovery. Always. That might save you.

yeah, its prolly your backup. flash clean restore no backups and test

I did what you suggested and my voicemail is working again. This happened when I was on devils toast cm9. Then when I restored a backup of midnights rom it happened there too. Can anyone tell me if I decide to flash cm9 again if I will get the same problems in cm9 and also if I restore my most current backup of midnights rom or would this have been a possible bad flash or something. BTW thanks again for the feedback.

Oh. Well I have tried that. Several times. I have also been calling Virgin for them to reset my voicemail. No luck, they can't seem to reset it on their end. I dunno what to do.

Glad to hear everything is working for the OP.

From what I have read, this is a problem on boost mobile and people have had to modify the Phone.apk.

Ugh. This sucks. I plan on trying to go to a stock rom and maybe that will help.
