Help voice + plus text fine but no data after unlock

Hi,

I unlocked my T mobile provided HTC Wildfire using mobileunlocked.co.uk.

It seems the unlock has only partially worked. I can use any SIM now (02 & Vodafone in UK & DTAC & AIS in Thailand, however they only work for voice and text and not data. All of these SIMS do not require settings to be entered, they are network provided or embedded on SIM card. All of these other SIMS also work for both voice, text and data on other devices no problem yet the only one SIM that works for voice, text & data is the T mobile SIM (it was T mobile who provided the HTC).

Can anyone help ?

Will rooting it make a difference ?

Sorry more user error. Just needed to manually add APN's, I wrongly I assumed I didn't need to as other devices do not need them or are perhaps pushed by the network.

Anyway My contribuition to this forum instead of asking two dumb questions in a row.

Non exhaustive list of useful APN's info.

Operator: Vodafone

APN: Internet

To change go to Menu >> Settings >> Wireless and Networks, Mobile Networks >>, Access point names and add in above desired settings.

Be careful, some networks incl. Vodaphone & O2 will require different settings depending on whether you are have a contract or PAYG SIM in your phone.
