voice search forceclosing

Just exchanged my droid for a new one 3 days ago, the first one I experienced crackling in the speakers after 3 weeks. Today is the first time I have tried the voice search on this phone and it force closes every single time. Any ideas?

This has to be on Google's side because everyone I know that has a Droid is experiencing this issue right now.

I'm not personally having the issue with my Droid but I have heard of others who are. Give it a couple days, it should be fixed.

Same. Sometimes it listens and says connection problem. Other times it gets some sort of error right when you start talking.
My phone also rebooted today by itself, first time. Something funky with google today? Maybe the new nexus update?

Same issue today. Started not searching properly, like when I said "call whoever", then a couple hours later, it just would force close.

Edit: To add, I am not rooted or anything.

I am not rooted or using a ROM either. This morning I checked to see if my wife was having the issue with hers as well (hers has worked since we got them) and it forced closed as well. Must be something on Googles end.

i was having the issue yesterday night, but it seems to be working again now.
