Help Voice Search "Initializing"

Voice Search on my VGN worked flawlessly in ICS. In JB, half the time it pauses with "Initializing" for 5+ seconds when I launch it, which pretty much defeats the purpose. You end up talking to yourself. It's bad enough when your kids ignore you - now the phone, too.

I thought this might be tied to the "Improve Speech Recognition" option, but have unchecked it and the problem continues. Anyone else having this issue?? Suggestions?

It will be interesting to see what comes out of this thread... mine did this as well with bugless beast pre-release but since i now how stock jb, i haven't noticed it. Are you stock now?

That's funny. I occasionally had this issue with every rom until I moved to Bugless, and I havent seen it since. It did seem to coincide with less than optimal data connection or just after switching types of data connections when it did happen.
