Hi there! I was very impressed with my Droid Incredible 4's ability to recognize quite a bit of voice to text for text messages. Now, for some reason, if I take a quick breath before my next sentence, it deletes the previous text and starts writing new text. I have restarted my phone, but to no avail. Am I just too full on memory, or is it something else?

Help Voice Texting Deleting Text before I'm done

Check for updates for your phone. Google recently released a google voice search update which may resolve your problem.
I tried reverting back to factory settings on Google+ and it did not work. I tried this because this morning I noticed that my Navigator was gone because they updated Google Maps and it disappeared, and was advised to do this, so had hoped that it would work the same way.
I did not have Google Voice before, the issue I am having is with my SMS messages, when I tap the microphone to speak, if I pause at all, it wipes out all of the previous text. I used to be able to speak quite a while and it would transcribe pretty well.....I use this ALL THE TIME, so please, it HAS to be fixed...pretty please!

I noticed this happening to me yesterday as well. It erased my entire message a few times. Every time, it was erasing the last word. If I just tapped Done, it re-appeared where you type the text message. Odd.

I just found this thread while online w/Verizon. I had the exact same issue happen yesterday and apparently it is a 'Known Bug' w/this phone that started yesterday for many users. *Couldn't get any more detailed info than that*. They immediately set up to send me a new phone second day so will have it Tues and just having me ship this one back. No fix other than replace the phone apparently. Hope this helps! 
Ok, spent a good amount of time on with Verizon tech today. DO NOT HAVE THEM GO TO FACTORY SETTINGS! It doesn't fix the problem 
He was very helpful, but in the end, he called HTC and they said they know about the issue, and are working with Google since it was something they sent out in an update. Not sure if we will get a specific message to update something or if we will get a general phone update, etc.
Regarding getting a replacement phone, HTC said that it won't help since it probably will be on that phone as well. It will be interesting to see if your problem is fixed or not.

I hope they fix it... it is quite annoying. It started erasing my messages when I say "period."

This is now the 4th phone. They have replaced everything and Verizon even had me make a new google account and manually enter all my contacts *Sigh* It is a bug w/these phones period and apparently no ETA on any fix.. Most can work around it, however due to aggressive RA I am unable to txt w/o using voice Doh. If anyone has found a fix, please share! TYVM!!! <3
