Help Voice to Text not Recognizing Names and Words (Vlingo)

Hi folks, I can't find the info on this particular issue.

I'm now using Vlingo, (Droid 3) and I'll say text Lindsey, or Miriam, etc..., and certain names are not recognized. I might say text Sarah or Chuck, and there is no problem. What can I do to train my voice to it better?

I have had similar problems with Vlingo and I've found a couple of things that help. First, if you are using vlingo with a bluetooth headset see if your headset has a voice recognition sensitivity level. I found this setting on my BlueAnt Q2 and set it to "low" and it improved things quite a bit.

The other thing I have learned with names is that sometimes I have to pronounce them the same way the phone "says" them. For example my wife's name is Renee which the phone pronounces "reneeeeee". If I tell it to "call reneeeee" it works better than if I pronounce the name correctly. It's annoying but it does seem to work.
