how do i get to voice type a text message on s3 mini. if i go to the settings button in text messageing there is no microphone icon to select . i know i can do it from voice talk but there must be a way to set it up from text message keybord as well

Try this.. when you get the keyboard up swipe down the notification bar (where you see the time, signal status ect) you see a message saying "choose input method", press that & choose input method Google voice typing.
