voicemail icon

my voicemail icon is on my status bar like I have a voicemail, but when dialing in, I don't have any messages.

this happened on my old phone when the icon wouldn't go away after you checked your messages.

is this happening to anyone else? if so, do you know how to get rid of it?
it's just annoying for it to be up there when I know i have no messages.

D'oh! figured it out. Just called myself and left a message. Went through the notions, and it disappeared.

Yeah, I had the same problem earlier this week as I deleted a voicemail but hung up before it said I didn't have any more messages. I was like...ok why can't I get rid of this. After googling it real quick I found the same solution as the others that mention going to app manager or call settings don't work. It's leaving a message for yourself again, good stuff.
