Help Voicemail Indication

sjanash

Newbie
I keep getting a indicator in the notification bar that I have a voice mail but when I dial in there is no voice mail. I do have visual voice installed and when I do get a message I get a notification on the notification bar of a new visual voice mail and the stock voice mail indicator disappears.. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Sjansh -

I had the same problem going on with the Notification Bar indicating that I had a new Voice Mail, even though I DID NOT. For me, it seemed to happened after I downloaded and installed Visual Voice. The unremovable icon was becoming a real annoyance.

What I did to solve this problem:
On your phone Dial 611 to connect to MetroPCS customer service. Ask them to "Re-Sync" your voicemail box. Note; it is best to call from a different phone, than the one that is having the voicemail issue. Finally, now re-boot your phone and the icon should be gone!

P.S. If you do call from your Esteem phone. Make sure that when you dial 611 it does NOT just open the "myMetro" app by accident.

- Hope this helps

Thanks to LatinHeat. I couldn't get through 611, only auto questions and answers by a machine. I went on-line and loged in to MyMetro account and had a live chat with a representative, he did a soft reset ( I guess is the same thing as re-sync) and it solved the situation. I freaked out when rebooted the phone the message was still there, but after 5 min or so it disappeared from the notification bar. He gave me a phone number of a Customer Service Team in case the situation persisted, luckily it didn't.

Hope this helps too.
