voicemail issue

I just got the phone this pastweek and was told that my voicemail is not picking up... it rings for ever then goes to " the wireles number is not available at this time"

i try and setup my voicemail box per ATT instructions on their website, but it dont work... any ideas?

Did you come from an iphone? When I changed to my captivate it occurred to me a few days later to check my voicemail box and found that I didn't have one. I haven't called to get it fixed because I'm using google voice instead(got addicted to visual voicemail) strictly for my voicemail no number.

You can call 611 on your phone to get support from ATT, but personally I'd recommend google voice for voicemail, I'd of ended up using it anyway.
