Help voicemail notification? oh hell no!

So my son butt dials me, and I get a voicemail notification. Seems the only way is to call it, hear it, and delete it. Please tell me there is another way.

On this side of the Atlantic, I think they are automatically deleted after 30 days. It might be the same for you.

Maybe addressing the butt issue would be easier. Lock the phone?

If you hit 33 it will take you to the end of the message.

Otherwise you can use google voice for your voicemail and avoid the hassles of the verizon voice mail.

Google voice is awesome, especially if you have gmail already. I recomend it to everyone.

sorry. I wasn't clear. I don't like the push notification that can't even be cleared unless I call, listen, and delete.

I looked for a way to disable notifications, and I couldn't find one.

Is there anyway to disable the notifications. I don't really *do* voicemail.
