Help Voicemail questions...

<><

Lurker
1. Is there a way for the sprint voicemail to be just the normal/default computer voice similar to what I had w/ att...along the lines of "You have reached the voicemail of XXX-XXX-XXXX, leave a message after the tone" instead of having to record a greeting?

2. Whats the difference between the voicemail app and widget, if any?

Thanks :)

1. Well, deleting the active voicemail in settings by calling my own # does the trick, but the default is just "is not available..blah blah", does not say the #.

2. Guessing it's the number to display the voicemails that I have waiting for me...

New questions...when placing a call, the phone vibrates when it is connected..is there a way to disable that?

Ah, it only vibrates if the screen is on when making a call...good enough

I seem to have answered my own questions :D

Yeah I liked how my voicemail was set up by default. But then about a month after I had the phone, it forced me to record a message. Like I could not listen to any messages until I did this and there was no way around it. Did not like that at all. So I finally recorded one. But I prefer a recording that says my number.

I dont have the Evo yet but on my BB i use YouMail, I bypass the Sprint/Nextel Voicemail and it goes straight to Youmail, I can download the File as MP3, listen to my Mail on my handheld and not have to dial in and when users call it reads the caller ID and says their name.
