voicemail?

I'm not a big fan of this voicemail...
the digital version on the phone keeps telling me I have messages, but it plays with nothing there.. I don't use the regular dial 1 voicemail because I don't want my name or greeting, just the number...
What is the problem?
Any ideas?

This might be a silly suggestion but you might want to check the volume level set for media sources. It is a different volume setting level than voice, ringer, alarms, etc. If the volume for media is off then you will not hear the messages.
