void warranty

Has there been *any* reports from Samsung users having their warranty void by flashing firmware (and not using a USB jig to reset the counter), or is it just a scare tactic by Samsung?

Has anyone ever sent their device back to Samsung with a flash counter that is anything other than 0, and had their device fixed or replaced?

If you need to send it in you can just flash the stock firmware back and use jig to reset counter

I know, but that wasn't my point. I'm wondering if Samsung would really deny a replacement phone if the phone has had custom firmware put on it.

Not just Samsung: all device manufacturers seriously void your warranty if you did any tampering: assessing ROM amounts to tampering the product.
