Help Voip On Photon 4G

I bought this phone because I really loved it, I figured that I could use VOIP to make my calls at home which is the only place my signal sucks. I tried Google Voice and hated it, so I found VoipBuster an that kinda works. I can make the call and I can hear them and they hear me, but a force close pop up appears. Can anyone help me, even if it isn't with voipbuster as long as it isn't with anything involving google voice (I hate google voice because it's a pain in the ass to get rid of) and I want something fairly simple.

What do you find difficult about Google Voice? I find it easy to use.

Skype is another option.

Are you familiar with Sprint's Airave? It would solve your problem at home and wouldn't require you to do anything different. Search for it over at the sprintusers.com forums. If you have poor signal at home, you can probably get it for free with no monthly service charges. I did that a couple years ago and it has worked out great.

I never heard of Sprint's Airave but I looked it up and found it on google for like $60, however I don't want to spend $60. I don't like google voice because it took over my voicemail and I really just didn't know how to use it which is why I want a voip caller that is super easy or as easy as possible without spending much money up front. Maybe there was something I did wrong on google voice but I do know that it was almost impossible to get off my phone, I had to call Sprint and explain my situation like 8 times to a bunch of different people and no one understood how to help me. I would like something I can get easily and get rid of easily without much hassle should I hate the service. Thanks again for your help

Sprint will give you the airave for free if you talk to the right person. The most successful method is to call the retention department. Sprintusers has a long running thread of people sharing their success stories. I called the retention department based on info in that thread and just told them my signal is very poor at home (which is true) and that I will have to switch carriers if there's not a solution.

Wow, that is awesome! Looks like a call to sprint is in my very near future. Do they charge you anything monthly? And is it fairly simple to set up?

I just got off the phone with Sprint and they are sending me one free of charge but I have a $100 deposit for the airave since my credit is crappy, but I'm fine with that as long as I get the deposit back later. Thank you soo much for all your help
