Voltage Control settings - Charging current

In Voltage Control under the Charging current section, just wanted to know if there was anything I should look out for if I wanted to raise the USB setting to 650mA to match the charger setting?

This would be useful as I often I find myself using the phone while it's plugged into the USB and I'm transferring files, but plugged into the USB, the phone decreases in battery life while I'm using it, as opposed to like on the charger where it will continue to charge but at a slower rate.

With the risk of it sounding like a stupid question, I just wanted to check to see I wouldn't be inadvertently doing something harmful to my battery (I can only assume Samsung made these stock settings like this for a reason?)

I dont think they make too much difference to be honest, as the only values that apply are 650, 550 and 450

(I seem to remember reading it somewhere, but dont ask me where)

regardless, I have mine set to 700,550 and 500 without any problem!

I have all mine set at 650 as (same as hawker, I remember reading but don't know where) 650 is the highest recognised value. Never had any problems and its stopped my phone discharging while plugged in the usb.

It's some time since I last read up on the USB specs but iirc only USB 3.0 allows for supplying more than 500mA per port.

Also, from droidphile's Kernel Governors, Modules, I/O Schedulers and CPU Tweaks guide:

AC refers to wall charger current, MISC refers to car charger current , USB refers to usb charge current from pc. Do not set Ac & Misc more than 1000mA or Usb more than 450.

Hmm...now I'm not sure what I should do. But at least that answers another question I had about the misc setting (i.e. what it was referring to)! Faster charging in the car will be useful for when I use the GPS apps at least. Thanks guys. :)

my Charging current settings is 650mA, while my charger output is 0.7ma, should I change this to 700mA to match the charger ?
ok, just incase I had another charger let's say (blackberry's one) with 950ma, while the settings are less than it for instance (700ma) should I raise it to 950 ? and what is Misc ???

I have a few (20) iPhone chargers which have a max output of 1000mA vs the 700mA Samsung chargers. I'm going to set my phone to 950mA and run it off the iPhone charger and leave my wife's phone on the Samsung charger and stock voltage settings and have a little charging race.

EDIT: I just looked at my Samsung charger and its a 1 Amp charger as well.
