Volume becomes very low, even when set to max.

Sometimes the volume of my Desire HD becomes very low (both on speaker and on earphone), even though the volume sliders (Ringer Volume, Media Volume, etc) are set to full. Only a complete restart helps restore it to proper functioning.

I don't know what's the cause of this, but the last time it happened, I was watching a video on an website using Adobe Flash (the website is Believe - A Hilarious Movie About Network Marketing). (Disclaimer: I'm not promoting the movie, just including it in case someone wants to try recreating the problem by watching its trailer in their Desire HD.)

Did anybody else have this problem? Does anyone know what's the cause? Could it be an application? I am using Brightness Rocker which lets me control brightness by pressing the volume rocker (and then sliding the on-screen slider).

Sorry for posting this in the wrong section... I didn't realize. But the silence is a bit too much of a punishment, considering how many replies this thread gets :(

UPDATE:
Good News Folks! HTC has just rolled out an update that fixes this issue permanently! I got it over-the-air today about 4-5 hours ago.

After you install this update, your Android version will be upgraded to 2.2.1 and the issue of volume going low after using FM Radio will be permanently fixed. You will never have this issue again!

To check for updates, go to Settings > About phone > System software updates, press the "Check now" button at the bottom.
