Help Volume changing when earphones are plugged in

Hi All,

I've got pauls latest rom on my HTC DHD but I have a problem where the volume changes when i plug in my earphones and unplug them.

does anyone know how i can kill this behaviour? I cant find any apps or other references to people having the problem.

its a real pain for me because it causes 2 problems:

1. when i plug my earphones in my ringer and notification volumes drop really low.
2. if i plug them in and then my profile apps changes my volume to quiet when i get to work, when i unplug the earphones it changes back to the volume it was set to when i plugged the earphones in, thus making my phone loud again.

I use easyprofiles to adjust my volume depending on the time of day and the app developer found this runs when ever i plug/unplug the headphones:

10-07 09:08:20 SwitchService: started with intent android.intent.action.HEADSET_PLUG

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
Ah, I didn't realise he had his own ROM.

I'm not familiar with the app or the ROM, so don't know what advice I can give, sorry. As an alternative, Tasker might be better suited to the role?

tasker can re-act to earphones being plugged in... but it can't just make the device ignore the change :( if i set it to adjust the volume it just messes with my scheduled profiles :(
