Does anyone else find it annoying when your in a meeting or lecture or church and someone tries to turn down the volume on their phone, only to have the phone beep with every change in volume (BEEEEP, BEEP, beep, bp, nothing)?

Is there any way to turn off this volume response when using the volume controls on the side of the Sprint Hero? Likewise, any way to turn off the sound when turning the phone on/off?

if you push it down fast it doesn't beep... so bring it all the way down to vibrate it won't beep on the way down.
 
You can also just hold the volume down button, and it will go all the way to vibrate without making a sound. Same for volume up, except for a final 'beep' at the end.
 
i use an app called ringer toggle widget....guess that makes it a widget, but whatev. you add it to you homescreen as a widget and it gives u a 1x1 icon and when u tap it it cycles thru three settings, silent, vibrate, and the other takes the volume back up to where u had it. and no sounds and its quick. hope this helps.
 
Uhmm if your turning the sound off or turning vibrate only on.. you can just long press the power button, and itll pull a menu to turn sound off or vibrate only.
 
If my phone is set to vibrate only or silent when I power down it just turns off. But when powering back up the phone still makes 3 different sounds while booting up. One is very loud. Any way to kill these sounds so that initial startup either vibrates or is silent?
