Killing two birds with one stone

I love the Volume Ducking feature that was in CM7 on my LG Optimus M while i was listening to my music or navigating. Is there any way to add this to any roms currently available to us or is it an exclusive Cyanogen mod feature?

same for the theme engine. I love changing that status bar.

Honestly, these are perhaps the only features I look forward to with the port PG is making.

I have no clue what the ducking thing is, but from what I seen PG say before the theme engine is a pain and/or not really easy to do since its more detailed then just installing the app

The ducking is for when you play music instead of the music pausing and the notification plays, the music keeps playing and "ducks" to lower dB and the ringtone plays right over it. Kinda like (forgive me for saying this name here) the iPhone. I remember CM7 had that option in the music settings.

im pretty sure with certain music players you have that option. player pro...power amp...google music maybe?
