Are there simply apps out there to increase my speaker volime? Or can someone direct me to a custom kernal to allow this to happen...if so, how do I go about it? I'm using ctmod with its kernal BTW (rooted). Thank you.

Try a app called volume+

I got it but it doesn't do anything to my volume. I guess I could be using it wrong..I mess with settings (everything enabled and volume is at +7) and I close it then use stock player to play song but no vol. difference. Can anyone verify that volume+ works or another for that matter.
Side note: how does increasing max. volume work?

I forget who the original poster was that uploaded this but this older (free) version of Volume+ works with the Prevail. The volume increase is loud enough for me to be able to hear podcasts sent through the phone's speaker over the noise of a shower.

The current version doesn't work for speakers, headphones or Bluetooth (at least not on my Prevail). The older version l attached in my previous post does increase the volume of the built-in speakers.
