Help Volume on Note 2

New to the forums and I have seen a lot of posts how the notification volumes are too low but I have the opposite problem. No matter how low I set my notification volume on my note 2, my email and texts notifications are very loud. They do not seem to change at all with the volume control. My ringer volume and system volumes all work fine, but my notifications are just so loud I can hear them two rooms away. Anyone have this issue or any ideas?? Thanks!
 
Replace it with a softer tone. Anyway, you can go into the apps themselves and set the notification settings there.
 
Thanks but its all of my notifications. Text and email. It does not get louder or softer with the volume settings. I have tested it. No matter what sound or what tone its very, very loud and I just cant imagine this is normal. Tried to manage with 3rd party apps or stock and its all the same. One volume.
 
Yes, I know that. I have the notification volume on 1. Maybe I am not saying this right. It can be on 1 or 10, doesn't matter the volume is the same. Its not changing. I changed the sounds, gone to just stock. I get the same result. I have taken out the battery, tried to reset..nothing. Perhaps I just need to go back to Verizon. Maybe its a faulty phone because my ringer volumes, and system volumes are all working fine. I just wondered if anyone else had this problem and maybe had a solution.
