Volume rocker wake

I emailed Teslacoil about widgetlocker losing the ability to wake the phone with volume buttons. They replied that HTC has disabled this at the system level.
If so will a different ROM, if I am S-off, give me that ability back if it is cooked into the ROM?

Almost every ROM I've used has this feature. It's in the Leedroid Tweaks.

Just FYI, you don't need to be S-OFF to get volume wake. Any ROM with Leedroid Tweaks will have it. Although S-OFF is definitely much nicer
