Help volume

both really listening to a music track through the speaker is not very loud and the call volume could be a little louder as well

I can remember also finding the volume too low on the S2, when compared to the music player on the iPhone when listening through earphones.

I'm interested to know if owners of the S3 find the volume level louder than the S2 through earphones.

Mine on default (factory reset) is not set on max. Go to setting->Sound-> Volume, and there should be settings for varios sounds, and first (Games,media,music) was set to about 70%. Put it to max, and you gain some more louder sound. (its not the same as pressing volume up in sidebuttons.)
