Volume +

So I paid for Volume + from the market to boost the volume per recommendations from this board. I had it set at 4 which worked great. They updated the app and now I have these slider bars. I really don't know where to put them. I have the volume slider set to 11 but the volume doesn't seem as loud after the upgrade to the app. I didn't mess with any of the other sliders. Can somebody tell me where these should be set? Thanks

I don't know, but I believe that the B08c system update from ZTE increases the volume. Have you done that as well? (also can be flashed pre-rooted if you have CWM)

Every time I get on ZTE's site and try to read the instructions on how to do that, it scares me. I'm not that savvy in that regard. It sounds like alot of work. I wish you could just upgrade to 08C from the phone. If somebody could explain it in layman's terms step by step, then maybe I would give it a try.

It didn't seem hard at the time when I did it, but then again it's also second nature for me. ZTE's site for the Warp has a drivers tab, where you download their software update tool, which I swear walks you through the process. Although the English won't win any awards, they explain everything, down to showing you pictures of which buttons to hold.

It's awful foolproof. If you run into any specific problems, ask... I'm not near any computer with good Internet to redo the process now.

You are correct the new version does not work as well as the old one. Are you rooted and using a backup app? If so you can go back to the old version using it. At least that is what I did and then I just didn't update when I got notified. The dev for the app also has a website that you can access through the help tab within the app. I didn't dive completely into it but apparently he has download links for older versions on the site. That might be a way to go too.

The New version works the same as the old one wit the sliders being how you adjust the settings. you are supposed to move the slider to whatever number you like then push the vol+ to see how loud it is, then you set the slider up one or two more numbers and push the vol+ again to see if it got louder or softer. then if it did get louder you set it up another number and try it again to see if it gets even louder. you do this until you reach the highest loudness that your phone will get to, then you leave the slider at that level. mine goes the whole way to the end where it is at 20. I know this because if I set it to one and push the vol+ is is soft, and when I set it to 20, and push the vol+ it is loudest. I really hope this helps someone. if you have problems please feel free to pm me I will be glad to help anyone. Mark

My settings are

Volume = 20
Bass = 1
Echo = 1

The speaker should be OK if you keep the bass low, if you like more bass lower the volume then, This should keep you from damaging your speaker..

Thanks for the info. I have a couple of more questions. Are you afraid of blowing out your speaker at 20? Also, where do you have the other sliders set like bass, echo, ets.

I just got the newest version updated today, works excellent better then most in the past I believe, Still scared to really crank the settings but im gonna slowly test it...

You're Instructing someone to put their volume @ 20 thru volume +? I strongly disagree, MAYBE, go to 3, play a few songs, different genres, test out all frequency ranges, then go up, slowly....idk man i would never tell someone that.

Maybe im just too careful when it comes to my phone....Didnt mean to come off harsh but Also i assumed you meant volume BOOST +20, if that is what your mentioning, damn i didnt know that our lil speakers could handle that...

Greetings,

Back to the B08c system update. I rooted my phone before doing this update. Can I do a temp unroot with voodoounroot and do the update or do I have to totally unroot my phone and start from scratch and then update?
