Volvo sent out a press release today that talks about how they feel the future of automobiles and technology will pan out.
The company wants to replace your keys(or at least accent them) with your smartphone and an application. The verification will be done between the app and the automobile via Bluetooth and you'll be able to do things like verify presence, start the car, lock/unlock the doors, all with your trusty smartphone.
