Root Voodoo sound

Any music player eats your battery :P By the end of the day I'm probably looking at 7-10% from it.

Wow, you weren't joking about PowerAmp and Voodoo Sound. Wow, this is great.

Anybody use another player that has an equalizer? Thought I would try another one before I spend $5 on this one.

Haha I've tried a few because I'm big on music...PowerAMP won in pretty much every category :)

App updated and says kernels need to be updated as well for this new version. I updated (oops, not sure if I should have done that without the kernels being updated) and it got rid of the headphone amplifier app.

I'm experiencing an odd issue that I'm guessing is related to the Voodoo sound: anytime I plug headphones into my Fascinate, it auto-launches the Music Player. Not a bad thing, I guess...the only problem is that the default Music Player isn't the one that I use. Is this by design? Is there a way to change the behavior?

Voodoo sound isn't doing this to me.

Which music player are you using?

For example: PowerAmp does this by default in the settings (which you can change)

The music player launching isn't related to Voodoo at all. I've noticed that happen occasionally when I plug in my headphones or into my cars auxilliary jack.

However, I'm not entirely sure how to stop it (outside of removing/freezing the default app).

The music player that is launching is the default "Music Player" that came with the phone. My preferred player is "Player". This only started after installing JT1134's 01/23 Kernel with Voodoo5 and the Voodoo Audio extension.
