Help VZW G-Nex will not charge anymore while on.

Over the weekend, my G-Nex stopped recognizing when it was plugged in. I tried different chargers and it wouldn't recognize any of them. I decided to take the battery out and then try it again, and noticed that while the phone is off, it will take a charge. Then I can turn it back on and it still charges.

But if I plug the phone in while it is already on, it will not recognize that it is plugged in. Is there anything I can do about this? I really don't want to have to re-boot the phone every time I want to charge it (or connect it to a computer to access phone files). Thanks.

Have you tried just performing a factory reset on the device? I mean it sounds like you might just want to try that just to see if you can get the device back into full working order.

Otherwise you could try using a different charger? I mean sometimes chargers can be a little picky about devices even if you have been using the charger for awhile.

I would hate to have to factory reset it and am treating that as a last resort. Guess I should go ahead and back everything up now.

And yes, I have tried multiple chargers and they all have the same effect: nothing while the phone is on, but when I power down they work. (And I can power back up while it is charging and it still recognizes the charger. Just not if I plug it in while it's on.)

Pretty sure not. Like I said, when I power down it charges fine.

Use compressed air to blow it out?

Nothing is going to fix it. Happened to me twice, replacements each time.
