Help Vzw galaxy nexus lock screen

Hi guys,
Did anybody else slide to unlock stop functioning after the 4.04 update?
Mine just started misbehaving. After awhile of phone use lock screen just disappeared.
when I reboot it comes back on for a short while. I suspected light flow and I uninstalled it but no dice.

Any one else with this issue? I might have to do a factory reset.
 
Thanks trophy. Right after making this post I uninstalled an app called day week bar and this seems to have been fixed since then knock on wood. I will keep u posted.

Exactly. Just deleting an app doesn't do anything for developers. They don't receive any notification that states you deleted their app. I can't tell you how many apps I've deleted recently and emailed the dev to let them know why.
 
Great point OTD I see where u are coming from, unfortunately after the deletion I still have this lock screen issue. Now I think it might be the GPS since it was disabled, enabling it since to be working so far, let me see how far this will last.

Whenever this happens I notice the volume rocker also wakes the phone.

Strange.
 
Alright after pondering on this for several hours, I swiped down my notification bar where I also have battery indicator, and I saw an option that says reenable lock screen, which I happily clicked. I think that is definately my answer.

Since my kids spend a lot of time with my phone, they must have disabled my lock screen.

So glad I don't have to do a reset just for that reason woo.

It only happens when you have your unlock set to "slide to unlock" or no lock whatsoever. Pattern unlock, pin, face recognition all don't allow the volume rocker to wake the phone.....at least that's what the users who posted experienced. Seems only stock also as most of the other ROM's don't have this "feature"

Odd. I am using slide to unlock and stock rooted, but never had this happen.
 
Another dumb question. Anybody know how to stop the vibration from the lock screen without rooting?
I thought that option was available on 4.04.
 
related but a bit off topic --- I had the lock screen disappear on a droid bionic after flashing eclipse 3.0. I think it might have been from restoring some system data through titanium... upon rewiping and reflashing, and skipping restoring system data through TB, everything was normal.
