VZW having major activation issues with the TB Today!

Soooooo I just spent 2 Hours in a vzw store trying to return my TB that had a number of major issues! Well the girl that worked there was of no help, she tried to charge me $35 to exchange my TB for a new one, which we all know is for only retuning the phone. However, after a half hour of going back and fourth with this girl, I asked to speak with someone else, and finally spoke with a Mgr who said no problem to exchange it for a new one!!! GReattttttttt Right? NO!!!!!!!!!!!

The same girl was told to do the exchange and give me a new one. So she went to get the new one, set it up, put the old sim card back in, which I told her not to do, so she gave me a new one...ok blast off, all ready to activate! This girl dials *228......And ruins the SIM, and then we have to start all over again because for some reason the Mgr said that this phone is now DOA...So they decide to start all over after an hr of trying to get this one activated...No Dice, they couldn't get the 2nd one activated either because of something going on in the system with TB activations...So after almost 2 hours in this store I decided to just say pack it up, and re-activate my Incredible...

So now I have an inactive TB sitting home, and I dont know when they'll be able to activate it...So for now I'm in limbo! A nice call to VZW should make me feel a little better right? yea it did, a little bit. They gave me $20 off my bill, and 50 bonus minutes because of all the problems they are having with TB activations...Oh well! lets see what happens tomorrow.

Awww, my poor Lady X having a ruff day with these Great Vzw Sales people? Dont worry Lady, we'll get ya a working TB....Sooner or later..lol

There systems were down yesterday too. I picked my phone up from fedex last night at around 6:30pm since they failed to deliver it due to me being stuck at work till 5:30. So after navigating through a snow storm to my nearest fedex hub 1/2 hour drive, getting home and trying to activate it they tell me they can't and that they would call me back when they could... So I called back 3 times to see if activation was possible and they said nope. At 11pm I ended up going online and trying to activate it which somehow rendered my previous phone(Storm2) and the thunderbolt unusable as neither had a signal. I called back 611 from my wifes phone and the service rep was able to activate my thunderbolt finally. So around 11:30 I finally got to try out my new phone. Asleep by 12am and back up at 5:30am for work. So far it was a pia but the phone is pretty nice so all in all worth it.

Yesterday the system seemed to go down about 1pm and stayed down until nearly 7. Maybe too many people buying the TB?

The oddest thing about once I got the thing activated it took nearly half an hour for the SIM card to do it's thing. So said the person who I talked to when the system was finally up.

Yea, it's been said that the system was down yesterday as well. We had a customer come in ready to buy the Droid X and another phone but we couldn't get it activated. Then after that someone came to buy a Xoom tablet and we couldn't get it activated either. Yesterday was a long day with Verizon! I didn't work today so I'm not sure if anything had gotten better. I'm guessing it didn't.

From the looks of it...not even close to better...lol! I think its just growing pains, it could have somethimg to do with VZW going the sim card route. Hey 4G is brand new... Some hiccups have got to be expected.
