VZW Insurance claim

Has anyone done an insurance claim on a Verizon Galaxy Nexus recently? I cracked my screen and need to file one, I'm just curious if they are still sending out Nexus' or if they have run out and are sending something else?

since its VZW I assume you have "Assurion" Insurance?

I just filed a claim two weeks ago and got a GN, it was a refurb, but was in perfect condition.

If it was Assurion, I guarantee you just haven't found the defect yet. They never send a phone in perfect condition.

Not entirely true. Especially around the beginning launch of a phone, they've been known to send out new units if they have no refurb stock. Obviously there are horror stories of insurance phones, but I also know plenty of people who have had perfectly fine replacements, refurbs included.
 
Got one today. Looks perfect to me. My old one was rooted with JDX and LK but I gotta say the stock ROM is pretty sweet. This will definitely tide me over till the S4 drops. May not even root and ROM it.
