I also live in the Seattle area and haven't had the muting problem. I've had the update for 4 days. I've really haven't seen much difference. A little snappier but the bars drop to nothing but the call is still connected.

On my 3rd phone as the replacement I got yesterday was worse than my original phone. Mic muting and mobile network dropping. Made about 3 hours worth of calls on the replacement of the replacement and no mic mutes. Going to try to make lots of calls over the weekend before shipping my original phone back.

According to this list of fixes....the update fails to fix much.....
This is the only official thing I've found from VZW that is CURRENT, not 5 months old.
If this is all they did....pitiful!

has anyone else noticed that the LED no longer blinks for missed SMS messages? it works for about one day when i use the stock messaging app, and not even that long when i use a third party app like SMS Popup, Chomp SMS, etc.. i still get the notifications in the notification bar as expected, but the LED light just doesn't work reliably.
